Fender Super Champ XD – Tube and digital modeling preamp
Great little amp for practice, recording and playing at home. This one has replacement tubes and Eminence speaker.
Fender Super Champ XD is amazingly versatile with 15 watts and 10-inch speaker with a pair of 6V6 power valves alongside a single 12AX7. It has two channels. Channel one is based of a Clean Fender Blackface Champ amp. Channel two is the channel with the switchable ‘voicings’. These range from early Tweed models, through Blackface models, British models, Hot Rods, metal, jazz and even acoustic models. There is a foot switch for switching channels and models. There is no effecdts loop or headphone jack, but there is a line out and also the option to bypass the speaker in the combo and hook it up to an external cabinet.
Amp can get pretty loud for 15 watts. I installed a Dr Z Airbrake Light attenuator in the cabinet to kept the peace at home.
