Danelectro Dan-Echo DE-1

I picked this up at a guitar show used. Pretty cool tape echo. This is one of the larger metal effect pedals not the cheap plastic smaller ones that followed. Sounds nice with a warmth of echo. Has a hi-cut control cuts the highs on repeats to perfectly simulate the tone of a 60s-era tape echo. It is quiet and is perfect for slap-back and more.

If you are looking for an inexpensive echo unit grab on elf these they seem to be underrated and better than you may think. Might be the only echo delay pedal you might need. I found this pedal to be a real bargain and hold its own against echo pedals costing many times more. Mine came with the original box and manual in A+ condition. Powered by 9V battery or power supply.

These older Danelectro effect are larger, metal and built like a tank. Date says Patent 1996. Much larger than the Dano BLT pedal I have that says 1999 on the bottom. You can pick these up fairly cheap on Reverb all day long.

The manual had a load of suggested settings I added below.
